When Leonard Knight passed away in 2014, he bestowed all of his presonal property and the rights to all of his art and life story to Salvation Mountain, Inc. He left specific intructions to never allow a church, preacher or evanglist to take over. He wanted the work God led him to create to be cared for by a preservation organization or a museum group. He instructed them to, "Let the mountain speak for itself". He believed that God would use his work as a vessal to reach millions around the world. He definately didn't want this guy involved!!
The use of this image on Mr Walton's church site is without permission and he has been formally notified in writing to no longer use Leonard's images and name to recruit followers to his "church" and new age teachings.

The name New Eden is stolen from The New Eden Church in Decatur, Alabama and the Glimpse of Eden stolen from a book writen by Ruth Fox about Kim Tend, fighting the future of Whales. Mr Walton takes it as his own.
Mr Walton's Camp the location of his New Eden Church is located in Slab City along side the waste water treatment tanks entitled, "The Shit Tanks" by local elders.
Mr. Walton tell his supporters he is "at" Salvation Mountain, but his camp is 1/2 mile away. He shows pictures of the cross from the back so his supporters will think he is there. I might also add that the image he shows of the cross at the top of Salvation Mountain is the only one he ever shows or displays.

The following is an editorial view of Mr. Walton's website, glimpseofeden.org. It is filled with lies and stories from the cornicles of Mr. Walton's con. Take a look and decide for yourself.
Before we start, check this Video from Jonny Hashbrown See what people find out about Mr. Walton when they visit.
Now onto the website:
Home Page: Starting at the top.
Note: the logo is a cannabis leaf with an "E" dangling below it. The "E" is presumed to be for "Eden". He obviously loves cannabis more than God, the cross of anything that is actually in the biblical. While cannabis churches are becoming recognized throughout the world, Leonard Knight did not use cannabis nor did he appreciate people using it around him. Leonard Knight was not a "church guy", he believed in the bible and a personal relationship with God. He never searched for scripture that might justify cannabis as a "sacrament". Sacraments are not a divine ordinance, but a devised "religious ceremony or ritual" by man justify a habit. The bible actually teaches that "Reality with God is not a matter of outward conformity to religious rituals" (Romans 2:25). It's Mr. Walton's personal desire that teaches a cannabis ritual. Leonard would have sent Mr. Walton away based upon this type of doctrine. This practice is not a representation of Leonard or Salvation Mountain in any way.
The Salvation Mountain image is boldly displayed without permission. The Fair Use Act and Leonard's personal mission does not apply to the glimpse of eden since they are using this image to reinforce the con. He includes the mountain when he reaches out to his followers to support his mission (Fundraising). Walton states on another page that he intends to create a pathway from the mountain to his "new eden church" which is located at the Slab City "Shit Tanks". Mr. Walton has been informed in writing by the Salvation Mountain, Inc. directors to no longer use Salvation Mountain or Leonard Knight in his fundraising efforts to "take over the mountain". They instructed the writer that they were taking further steps to make him stop. No money he receives from any source is or will ever be used to support the preservation of Salvation Mountain.
"Our Beliefs" Walton states, "we believe that religion and man-made things get in the way of our relationship with God." This is a quote stolen from Leonard Knight's videos. The picture is a group of people standing in front of the soup kitchen he takes credit for. A fellow named "Waterboy" started the Slab City Soup kitchen before Walton arrived in Slab City. Mr. Walton started helping him so he could steal credit yet again. Waterboy isn't a Christian and as far as this reader knowns, he does not even believe in God. He does although have a history of running off pedophiles and woman beaters from Slab City! That could be God's work, but we'll leave that to Him to decide. Waterboy's work at the soup kitchen is excellent up to the point he partnered with the con man.
"Our History" Walton says his church "glimpse of eden was founded in the early 20th century". Mr. Walton, the 20th century is the period of time from 1901 - 2000. That means you stared this church before you were born. He actually registered the church in April 2014 according the State of California and he used the name "new eden" starting at his cult garden site that he was kicked out of in or about 2010 maybe? The picture there was simply lifted from another ministry who IS doing God's work.
About Page: There's the soup kitchen again. Walton does not cook the food or serve it. Although he does make veggie soup. You should ask Waterboy if the eden church helps at all, but they sure do like to use this image!
Background: "founded on the truths of the bible", note that the bible is ALL true. Not just those things Mr. Walton wants to be. He did visit in 2012, but he spent his time there berating and insulting the docents and was asked to leave. He then returned in 2016. This time he exceeded his insults and accused Salvation Mountain of being run by a "bunch of drug dealers and thieves". He was again asked to leave. The directors state that the board of directors who began their work in 2011 was made up of seven directors at that time, none of which were drug dealers or thieves, they we in transition in 2016 from a previous caretaker to Ron Malinowski, who is still with the mountain. He was not than and is not now a "drug dealer". There was also no indication that the previous caretaker was a drug dealer either. Walton claims that he approached Salvation Mountain, Inc. He never reached out to the organization. They only knew Walton as a nutjob who was trying to cause trouble. They did not know much about him except for his pyramid, weed smoking and chasing girls of all ages. "They sent five men to attack him", must have been a scene from a movie he watched. That didn't occur either. Actually according to the elders at Slab City, Mr Walton had set up camp in 2016 and for several months built a reputation of chasing women, stealing a dirt bike and locking a young lady in his box truck for a night. After these reports, a few members of the community paid him a visit and helped him pack his things so they could escort him out. This wasn't the type of behavior they wanted around their family and friends. The mountain and it's directors didn't have any part in that action. Salvation Mountain, Inc. has no authority or suggested interest in people who camp in Slab City and they claim they would never threaten to "Kill" anyone. That isn't Leonard Knight's way. Walton's next comments were from 2023, when he convinced a wealthy partner from the east coast, that he wanted to buy this land in California that was a gold mine of lithium and if he helped him buy it he could remove all the homeless people for him (from Bo Keely's chronicles of the rich man and Slab City). More on the State and County later. "He has set up this church to hold Salvation Mountain Inc. accountable, build a fellowship of people and to fulfill God's vision of extending the tour on top of Salvation Mountain to a Glimpse of Eden and entrainment venue". Again, his plan is to "hold them accountable" which means what? He also intend to bring tours to his "entrainment venue" from the top of the mountain. As seem in the above map, in order to have a "path" to his location on the east side of the "Shit Tanks" he'd have to supply a helicopter to make the trip. Again, none of this has anything to do with the bible or Leonard Knight's mission at Salvation Mountain.
What is a "vision meeting". We thought churches had services and bible studies?
"Good gets better" a slogan stolen from a quote by Jerome of Stridon, who was an early Christian priest, confessor, theologian, translator and historian; he is commonly known as Saint Jerome. Walton also stole it from Leonard Knight from his scene in "Into the Wild". Walton believes that when Leonard said that in the movie, he was pointing to those "Shit Tanks" to the east. He was in fact, pointing at the cross he erected at the top of the mountain. Not the "Shit Tanks".
"My Involvement" Is how Walton works his con. You give him your contact information and he contacts you. He tells you his callings from God and asks you to come to Slab City and be part of his cult or send him money. Do not send this church or Mr. Walton money! It's as good as flushing it down the toilet if you expect he's doing God's work.
"The Faith": Great line for the average church, but he fails to tell you that he believes God called him to be the "next Jesus". Good luck with that kind of faith.
Touring a Post Apocalyptic Hideout in Slab City Take a look at this piece. Mr. Walton is happy to be known as a "Post Apocalyptic Hideout". Sound like a real church to you? Look for the pyramids and the "No Trespassing" Sign. Ever see a "church" with padlocked gates, no trespassing signs, guard dogs, junk yards. Listen to him preach? "Stuff like that" and "the thing is" appears to be widely used by pastors in Mr. Walton's world. The "pawn shop" he talks about was run by gun-runners and felons who Mr. Walton supported. They were raided by ATF and ICSD and hauled off to jail. Walton guarded their stuff for them. "Healed" by cannabis? Oh my God, please stop the dogs so we can hear more bullshit! Cannabis Leafs are everywhere. Where is the cross? The one most common representations that God has a home here? Note the "Love/Communal" area several beds in a group? I’ll let your imagination take this one. It's unbelievable that he justifies the serpent on the food kitchen rather than have a cross up there. Fact is that the soup kitchen is Waterboy's and Walton has to make up a story to justify it's lack of Christian involvement. Waterboy's goal is to feed people, not lead them to salvation.
Let's start by the fact that a church usually has a chapel. A place to meet on the church grounds? Nope, Walton's compound is off-limits to the public. He claims to have services at Salvation Mountain. He tried, but was rejected. He does not have a church service or bible study on the grounds at Salvation Mountain. Instead he is surrounded by cannabis, communal beds guard dogs and screaming children.
"Service Times Page" Again, he does not have a service or bible study at Salvation Mountain. He also doesn't have a service or bible study like most Christian food pantries at the Slab City Soup Kitchen either. The only part he plays is to make that vegetable soup!
Rehab Page: Nothing about rehab on this page unless you want to visit Slab City and enjoy those communal beds and smoke some more cannabis.
Slab City Soup Kitchen Page: Nice pictures, but the one of Salvation Mountain has no place on this page either. Salvation Mountain is in no way part of the serpent or the cannabis that appear. Another misrepresentation and violation of copyright.
Food Distribution Page: Again, this writer believes that Waterboy is far more a saint than Walton will ever be. Notice that the video has no relevance to Mr. Walton or his "new eden".
Donations Page: This is the biggest shit tank of them all. Note once again, the picture has more to do with cannabis and Babylon than God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit, unless you think that smiley face in the bucket is the mystical happy face of god's spirit? Anyways, no legitimate church uses a "cash-app" as a primary means of raising funds. Please do not donate to this con artist because you think he represents Salvation Mountain. He does not!
State of California Land Commission & Imperial County Mr. Walton devised a plan to purchase all of Slab City to include Salvation Mountain. He put a $25k deposit and stated he wanted to take over Salvation Mountain in order to "preserve it" His offer was declined and his deposit returned. He has made no additional efforts since that time to further that plan. Representatives from the state have confirmed that there is NO way Mr. Walton will be successful in purchasing Slab City. He will never be allowed to "take over" Salvation Mountain. Salvation Mountain, Inc. owns Leonard Knights property. Imperial County has no interest in owning the property at Slab City. They see Mr. Walton as a "nut". The county's stand on Slab City is that the State let this off-grid community happen, they should maintain it. The county does not have any interest in taking oversight of this area. They don't want anyone to "own" this area because if a private party buys it, they will have to begin assessing county ordinances on the residents. Imperial County did although grant a request by Salvation Mountain, Inc. to designate Salvation Mountain as a Historic resource, a site of historic significance. This has solidified the organization as the owners of Leonard Knight's property. They do support the continued existence of Salvation Mountain and wish for it to be preserved.
This writer will agree that if Mr. Walton stuck to his mission to create a "new eden" in Slab City and continues to support Waterboy's soup kitchen, he might be a welcomed asset. Instead, he insists on trying to make Salvation Mountain part of his resume in order to justify some kind of Christianity in his mission. The fact is that his new eden mission isn't appealing throughout Christianity, so he needs something to use when he prays on their funding.
